Youth and Disabled Hunts

and Disabled Season only. This season runs from September

to harvest a velvet Kansas buck. We have drive up access to
blinds that will minimize walking. The blind will be placed
close to feeders, mineral licks, water holes, and agricultural
fields. Dress light and bring your water jug it is warm this
time of the year.

Archery Hunts
Archery season offers the ability to hunt the RUT! In Kansas
you can not hunt the breeding season with any other weapon.
Rut hunts start in Late October and run until mid November.
Other great bow hunting opportunities are the early season and
the late season. Late season hunts are the most overlooked.
They are comparable to the late season Iowa muzzle loader hunts.
These hunts take place during the last two weeks of December.
Archery hunts are very flexible, because you can hunt from lock
on stands, ladder stands, ground blinds, and natural blinds.
This is a magical time of the year in the whitetail woods come
and experience it. I promise you will never forget it!
Season:
September 20- December 31
For all hunts you will need:
Kansas Hunting License
Kansas Deer Permit
Rifle, Bow, or Muzzle Loader
*Rifle, Muzzle Loader, and Youth/Disabled Hunts will
require a blaze orange hat and vest.

Rifle Hunts
Rifle Hunts are the weeks of December. The rifle season
offers the opportunity to extend your range. These hunts
focus on food sources and bedding areas, also the travel
routes between the two. We like to hunt out of box or
ground blinds when the weather is bad. When the time is
right we will move in and hunt these Kansas monarchs from
lock on and ladder stands.
Season: December 1-12

Late Season Doe Hunts
In Kansas we have had a antlerless only season that is in the
first few days of January. Doe harvest are a part of any successful
Quality Deer Management Plan. These last ten days of the season
allow for rifle hunting. Over the first three months of the season
we evaluate the deer herd and come up with a suggested doe harvest.
These numbers will be available by the end of the 2009 rifle season.
From there we will hunt the particular farms in hopes of meeting
our doe harvest quota. This is a ten day season and the hunts
will be fast and furious. This may truly be the most exciting
hunt of the year.
